We supply 2 bikes for easycycling along the Canal with the Paraza house, if you are planning a longer cycle or need morebikes, a company in the village called Mellow Velos rents them out. The slopes of the Pyrenees and Andorra are only a 1.5 hour drive to the south if skiing is your thing.Sigean has a municipal swimming pool and both houses are only minutes from many kms ofbeaches at Port la Nouvelle as well as being convenient to windsurfing at Gruissan, Port Bacaresand Port Leucate and fishing at many spots along the coast. Narbonne Aquapark has a swimming pool/bowling complex which also serves up a good lunch atreasonable prices. Rent a small electric boat by the hour on the Canal, or a cruiser for a day ortwo’s travel! The Sigean African Reserve is Europe’s largest safari park and worth a full day out.This part of France is rich in history, from Cathar castles and Merovingian mysteries to Roman ruinsand Prehistoric paintings. Culturally, the towns of Colliore and Figueras in Spain (to visit the DaliMuseum) are an hour and a half drive for art enthusiasts. Narbonne City hosts many art galleriesand museums, the Cathedral and catacombs, and too many attractions to mention!.
